Here is a few tips courtsey of studioscentral.com:

Disney will be using FASTPASS for autographs. The machines will open at
9am, even for hotel guests. Even so, you want to get near the front of
the line for park opening. Plan on getting there about 45-60 minutes
before park opening.

If you want your child in the parade, go near the Star Wars Weekend
Information Desk at around 10am , and look for a Disney employee
handing out wristbands for the parade.  If you don’t immediately spot
this Cast Member, ask one of the Cast Members at the desk.

You should wear light & comfortable clothing that will allow you to be comfortable under a hot Florida sun. Dressing up in a costume is fun and many guests opt to do this, but keep in mind the amount of heat and humidity in Florida during that time of year when choosing to dress up or not as well as selecting your costume.
